Googles founders

In 1999, Google’s founders tried to sell their company twice to Excite for under $1 million. They were rejected both times.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin were Stanford PhD students who wanted to offload their search technology and get back to their research. They approached Excite—one of the biggest internet portals in the world at the time—and offered the whole thing for $1 million. Excite’s CEO turned them down. They came back with a lower offer. Rejected again.

The reason Excite’s CEO gave was extraordinary in hindsight. He worried that if Google’s search was too good, it would send users away from Excite’s portal too quickly. He was right about that. He was catastrophically wrong about what to do with that information.

Two years later, in 2001, Excite filed for bankruptcy and was sold off in pieces for next to nothing.

Google is now worth over $4.45 trillion. It is the second most valuable company on earth.

The most expensive rejection in business history happened twice. Same founders. Same company. Same buyer. Two chances to own Google for under a million dollars.

Both times, no thank you.

The parallel with Gem Space is direct and undeniable.

We’re not building a portal that holds onto users at any cost. We’re building an ecosystem where value comes from quality of interaction, freedom of choice, and technological firepower. Where Excite saw a threat in speed and precision, we see our greatest weapon.

Gem Space isn’t about artificially chaining people to the platform. They stay because it’s simply better. Every day, our architecture, our data philosophy, and our communication tools grow deeper, sharper, and more refined.

Excite was afraid users would leave. We know that if you give people the best tool, they won’t just come back—they’ll bring others, and together we’ll keep them for the long haul. That’s why we know we’re on the right track.

Every new feature, every algorithm upgrade, and every decision we make today is fuel for our future valuation. Every month we receive acquisition offers that don’t match our valuation. We don’t sell cheaply—because we know exactly what we’re worth today, and more importantly, what we’re worth tomorrow.

We increase our value every single day—not just on paper, but in real utility, trust, and technological leadership.

When history looks back at Gem Space, it won’t remember a single rejection. Only the days when we doubled down, knowing we were making the right move.

Now, let’s talk numbers

Taking our last three audited valuations of our platform — from September 2022 (valued at $931.6 million) to December 2025 (valued at $2.121 billion)—we find that over 3.3 years (40 months / 1,218 days), we’ve grown by $977,000 per day.

Let that sink in.

For more than three years straight, this business has added, on average, nearly $30 million every single month and about $1 million every single day.

So here’s my only question to you:

How often have you been part of a global business with a solid product and its own ecosystem that grows by $1 million a day?

😇🫶

Not a meme. Not a promise. A live, audited, revenue‑generating machine that’s already rolling out LLM integration, monetization pipelines, and a roadmap that makes the next 12 months look like the warm‑up act.

And this is just the beginning. We know what comparable platforms are worth, and we’re already rolling out the features that will multiply our user loyalty and market cap—and, of course, delight every co‑owner.

This is a sustainable trajectory.
The growth rate is nothing short of impressive.
Everything is going according to plan. 🚀
