This time, we’ve made everyday actions easier, brought back the setting for controlling the visibility of chats and channels from Spaces, fixed several noticeable issues, and started getting the app ready for Premium.
What’s new
You can now share mini apps
Found a useful mini app? You can now send it directly to another user.
Saving files is more convenient
On Android, you can save files to specific folders, save video messages to your gallery, and download entire photo and video albums at once.
Edit photos and videos before sending
On Android, we’re gradually rolling out media editing tools. You’ll be able to crop photos, draw on images, and adjust video length before sending. The feature will first be available to some users, then gradually roll out to everyone.
Improvements
Chat and channel visibility settings are back
You can once again choose whether chats and channels from a Space appear in the main list or stay only inside the Space. This makes it easier to keep the main list focused on what you use regularly.
More control for admins
On iOS, Space owners and admins can now delete system messages they no longer need.
More reliable audio playback
On iOS, we improved the mini player so voice messages and other audio play more reliably.
Fixes
We fixed several chat issues
On Android, we fixed a blank screen that could appear after opening a chat. On web, we fixed navigation to Spaces from search and direct links, and removed an unnecessary message deletion notification.
A few more fixes
On iOS, we fixed editing posts with links. On Android, we fixed scheduled article sending. We also improved overall app stability.
And yes, Premium is on the way. For now, we’re showing the first preview, with more details coming later.
