We’ve simplified the interface, refreshed navigation, improved search, enhanced file sharing, and fixed key issues.
What’s new across all platforms
Gem Space is now cleaner and easier to use, so you can focus on what matters most — communication. Core actions are closer at hand: fewer steps, faster access to chats and contacts. The feed is temporarily hidden while we work on its update. Soon, we’ll also merge the catalog with the home screen.
Search is now more precise: chats and channels are easier to find by name, without irrelevant matches, and users can be searched by their handle. Local search across downloaded data works just as before. We’ve also improved overall stability: fewer crashes, faster response times, and more predictable performance.
We’ve fixed several important issues: invite links now work correctly, channel search is no longer case-sensitive, comment counts are accurate, and user blocking has been improved.
iOS
Navigation has been updated: contacts and calls are now in the bottom bar for quicker access. We’ve added personal links and QR codes to user, group, and channel profiles, making it easier to add contacts and invite others to chats.
All shared files are now gathered in one place and can be viewed directly in the chat profile. Sharing content to other apps is now more reliable. We’ve also fixed call display when rotating the screen and improved image preview when sending files.
Android
We’ve added quick access to your profile and the ability to share your personal link, making it easier to connect. QR codes have been visually updated and are now cleaner and easier to scan.
App stability and interface responsiveness have been improved. We’ve fixed issues with sharing content to other apps and improved drafts — your text will no longer disappear when switching between chats.
Web
Profile interaction is now simpler: you can share your personal link directly from your profile. Video messages now play more smoothly.
We’ve improved chat stability and sped up the interface. You can now copy images from Google Docs, and file uploads display correctly. The video speed control now works as expected, and switching themes after calls no longer causes issues.
We’ve also fixed how text appears in articles — headings and highlights now display properly.
