The Gem Space product team has shared its latest update covering platform performance, upcoming features, and strategic developments across both the B2C super app and the Gem Team B2B solution. Here is a structured overview of everything announced.

Strong Platform Growth in Early 2026
The first two months of 2026 delivered compelling results. Compared to the same period in 2025, key metrics grew significantly:
- App opens: +19%
- Messages sent: +28%
- Organic installs and traffic: +37%
- Calls made: +49% — the standout figure, indicating that users are increasingly relying on Gem Space as their primary communication tool
- New installations: +324% compared to Q2 2025
The share of iOS users among active accounts continues to grow, now reaching 19.1% versus approximately 81% on Android. The team highlighted this as a positive signal for monetization potential, as iOS users tend to be more demanding in terms of platform quality — and meeting that bar is a key strategic priority.
User retention trends are also improving. Data from January–February 2026 shows more users returning to the platform after installation, and the team expects this growth to continue through the end of Q1 2026.
Platform Stability: Measurable Impact on Key Metrics
A major focus during January and February was strengthening platform resilience. The engineering team worked through a significant round of fixes, addressing:
- Call stability
- Push notification delivery and sounds
- Chat synchronization and message updates
- User authorization and registration reliability
The results are visible in app store ratings: Gem Space currently holds a 4.3 on Google Play, 4.3 on the App Store, and 4.4 on RTOR — all higher than previous averages. Post-release data also shows a clear uptick in users returning to send messages and view chats, confirming that stability improvements are directly driving engagement.
New Fintech Features Coming to Gem Space
Two significant fintech developments were announced for the B2C platform.

Gem Balance is a new product developed in partnership with Whitebird, targeting users in Russia, Belarus, and CIS countries. It will allow users to deposit and withdraw cryptocurrency and exchange crypto for fiat currencies and vice versa, supporting the most widely used fiat options. The product is currently in pre-release, with provider integrations already in place. It will become available within Gem Space shortly.

PayGem Wallet is the second initiative. The team is finalizing a contract with one of the world’s largest Web3 providers. The wallet will support non-custodial storage, digital asset management, and token transactions. It is designed to serve as the fintech foundation for the broader Gem Space ecosystem — including mini app partners who need to integrate financial operations into their products.
Interface Update: A More Familiar Navigation
To better serve the growing segment of users who use Gem Space primarily for calls and messaging, the app’s navigation is being redesigned. The upcoming update will:
- Add Contacts and Calls to the bottom navigation bar for faster access
- Merge the Catalog and main screen into a new section called Explorer
- Remove the News Feed from the primary navigation

The goal is to provide a more intuitive experience for new users — closer to what they already know from conventional messengers — while encouraging longer-term retention.

Gem Team B2B: Web Summit Qatar and New Features
Web Summit Qatar 2026
The Gem Team was represented at Web Summit Qatar in February with a full exhibition booth featuring live demonstrations of the platform’s multifactor authentication hardware — including physical tokens and OTP keys, as well as the Gem Team Pod, previously shown only in concept images and now a real, working device. Board member Michael Jordan participated in a panel discussion on the Zero Trust security approach.
The team collected over 180 qualified contacts from Qatar and the broader GCC region, all of which are now being actively engaged.
Upcoming Security and UX Features
The Gem Team roadmap includes several near-term additions:
- App Lock introduces a 4- or 6-digit passcode that locks the application screen. Users unlock the app with this code rather than going through the full login process each time — maintaining security without sacrificing convenience.
- User and Device Management gives company administrators greater control, including visibility into active sessions and the ability to restore deleted users.
- Custom Chat Backgrounds allow organizations to apply brand colors to their chat interface — a straightforward but widely requested feature that supports corporate identity within the platform.

Introducing Gem Cloud
The most significant B2B announcement was Gem Cloud — a new deployment model designed for organizations that want to get started quickly, without complex infrastructure setup.
With Gem Cloud, a company can visit the Gem Space website, choose a plan, register, purchase licenses, and have a fully operational secure communication environment within approximately 30 minutes. There is no server configuration required on the client’s side. Monthly licensing applies.
For organizations not yet ready to commit, a 2-week demo access period is available through a simple application process. A Gem Space manager follows up at the end of the trial to discuss continued use.
Gem Cloud sits alongside the existing On-Premise and Pod deployment options, expanding the range of entry points for B2B clients across different readiness levels and technical capacities.
The Gem Space product team’s next update will include a Q&A session. Organizations interested in learning more about Gem Team or Gem Cloud can visit gemspace.com.
